Kona Joe Coffee   808-322-2100
Secret behind Kona Joe's CUP of excellence.
Kona Joe coffee is 100 percent pure Kona coffee, grown on a trellis using the same techniques as the world’s finest vineyards. The coffee tree is trained to grow along the wires of the trellis. This training requires years of meticulous pruning and tying to open the tree over the trellis system. The result is a coffee tree that grows sideways and upwards producing an exceptional CUP.

Lyman Kona Coffee Farms   808-325-0909
Lyman Kona Coffee Farms is an 8 acre certified Coffee Estate at 2000’ elevation in North Kona above the airport. We named our farm after the Hawaiian Missionaries David and Sarah Lyman who arrived in Hilo in 1832, founded a school and built the first wooden house on the Island (now Lyman Museum). Our daughter Karen Lyman Eckert is their sixth generation grandchild.
We do everything here “from seed to cup” and apply rigorous quality control steps during every phase of our production. - so much so that we need 7 ½ lbs of coffee cherry to produce one pound of roasted coffee. We are totally herbicide and pesticide free. Our s is the “most pampered coffee in the World” and is known as the “Champaign of coffees”. We have over 3200 coffee trees and about 50 types of exotic fruit trees.
I currently conduct free eco farm and coffee tours once or twice a week for the guests of our BnB Inn, the Mango Sunset . That’s usually after their breakfast and takes about 75-90 minutes (we sometimes include our custom-roasting demonstration).

Interested parties need to make arrangements in advance by calling me at 808-325-0909 (cell: 989-0674) (after all, we want to have some of our coffee freshly brewed for you to taste and freshly roasted coffee for sale!).
We are very easily accessible, have ample parking and a clean rest room.

Original Hawaiian Chocolate   808-322-2626
Bob and Pam Cooper arrived in Hawaii in 1997 and found a farm with existing crops. The farm grows Kona Coffee and Cacao. Nothing was being done with the cacao locally and after much research, hard labor and some investments the Coopers built a processing facility to manufacture the chocolate. Eight years ago they produced the first 100% Hawaiian, non-blended chocolate bar on the Island of Hawaii. Harvesting, pulling the beans to ferment and rack drying are all done by hand. Conching and adding the ingredients for milk and dark chocolate, moulding and packaging come next before Original Hawaiian Chocolate is ready for the shelves. Farm Tours are available by appointment Wednesday and Friday at 9:30am. Call 808 322-2626 for an appointment or visit www.originalhawaiianchoclatefactory.com.
