Promoting Sustainable Agriculture and Tourism in Hawai‘i

             
  CLASSIFICATIONS        
    Corporate Venues/Processors/Cooperatives: Large, corporate-sponsored, agritourism venues, food and commodity processors with agritourism venues, and farmers’ cooperatives open to the public for the purposes of agritourism.
             
    Single/Joint Ownership Venues (Large Scale): Working farms and ranches offering the public agritourism experiences. These farms have established visiting hours and operations in compliance with the association's standards.
             
    Single/Joint Ownership Venues (Rural): Working farms and ranches offering the public agritourism experiences. These farms operate by "appointment only" and may have 4WD access only. These operations must be in compliance with the association's standards.
             
    On-Farm B&B: Established or new, on-farm bed and breakfast operations offering the agritourism experience to guests.
             
    Farm stands/Farmers’ Markets: Retail outlets that feature only locally grown produce and value-added products from area farms.
             
    Restaurants and Chefs: Area restaurants and working chefs featuring locally grown regional cuisine.
             
    Government/Quasi-Governmental organizations: Federal, State and county government organizations and tourism boards with an interest in Hawai‘i agritourism.
             
    Tour Companies: Tour companies routinely offering the agritourism experience to visitors.
             
    Media: News organizations wishing to promote agtourism in Hawai`i
             
    Other: Individuals or entities that do not meet any of the classifications above.
